This is an amazing collection of Sunday comic pages from 1935-1936 for the combo of 2 great aviation themed strips, both associated with Capt Eddie Rickenbacker of WWI pilot fame : Ace Drummond and Hall of Fame of the Air which featured bios on noteworthy pilots from around the world, male AND female ! There are 79 DIFFERENT weeks with 20 being full tab sized (approx 15 x 11") and 59 full page sized (approx 15 x 21"). These are gorgeous, early airplane and pilot themed in classic 1930s comic strip style---great art.

Starting with Feb 3, 1935, only 1 week is missing in 1935. The year 1936 is missing 15 weeks, most being in the latter half of the year. I doubt a more complete collection exists, making this a very rare opportunity.

CONDITION----They also may have one or more of the following-- edge tears, small repairs with archival tape on the reverse and/or some degree of uneven cutting when removed from newspaper originally.
Additional condition comments : overall the collection rates very good to fine, with many pages being better, and almost none being less than that. The collector who assembled this group frequently used small pieces of clear or cellophane tape to make small repairs. Visually the pages look better and display better than they technically grade but you have to look closely to see most of the defects. None of the pages appear to be "beat up" or heavily worn. Carefully assembled collection regarding completeness and condition. The collector spent decades building this collection.

Regarding the price, I resisted splitting the 2 strips, selling the Ace Drummond as a group and the Hall of Fame as a separate group. It might be easier to do that but with both strips being associated with Eddie Rickenbacker, it seems better to keep the pages complete. You are paying about $10/strip, $20 per page which is not unreasonable.
