Description

This listing is for one NM+/NM 1st print of Thor #1 with the 1st appearance of Jane Foster as Thor in continuity published by Marvel Comics in 2014. It’s been announced that Jason Aaron’s run including Jane Foster as Thor will be featured in Thor 4 Love and Thunder! The comic appears to be a NM+ with only a millimeter small corner ding and edge scuff. Everything is as pictured though, so please check out the pictures and judge for yourself.

Thanks for checking out my comic!

If you like high grade Copper to early Modern Age to Current Age comics for reasonable prices, please check out my listings, as I’m in the process of putting on a lot of comics (mostly in NM condition) and usually have about 200+ listings up with lots of hard to find, key, and hot comics, comic lots, full runs, and graphic novels and books that I have priced to sell at less than 30% of retail. I don’t always succeed at it, particularly if I’m selling one of my private collection comics that’s in high grade (this doesn’t happen too often), but I tend to price my comics lower than they guide for or at the very least use the lowest guide price between the various online price guides and I tend to grade conservatively.

Since I’m a reader, collector, and geek first and it’s usually my number one concern when buying comics online, I figured I would mention the lengths that I usually go to to ensure that all of the comics I sell arrive just as they are pictured. If I send a comic with less packaging effort or just different packaging materials, it will still be packaging that is above and beyond nearly every other seller, but I do sometimes run out of supplies and have to make due. The other 95% or so of the time I package the comics with not just the standard bags and boards (that I always replace if degraded or warped or damaged in any significant way), but also double up on backing boards and/or double bag and board the comics with bags that are large enough to fit an already bagged and boarded comic. I also usually put a board in front of the double bagged and boarded comic to help ensure that the comic stays exactly as described and doesn’t get damaged during storing, preparing to ship, packaging, or shipping.

Once a comic or small comic lot is purchased, I put the comic(s) in a bubbled envelope. If I happen to not have the comic boarded on the front too, which has happened a few times due to issues with packaging arriving late or being too damaged to use), I put a sturdy unbent piece of cardboard in front of the comic in the bubbled envelope and then place the bubbled envelope in a custom cut box that fits just tight enough around the envelope to keep it from shifting around. Before closing each box, I make sure that no additional packaging materials or cardboard reinforcements are needed to ensure that the comic(s) is protected even with roughest of handling. When sealing the box, I try to ensure that there is little to no chance of any fluids getting in or with the box ever being opened by accident during shipping. Come to think of it, it may be annoying to have to open my comics, as one has to open 3/4 of the way around the box, remove any additional packaging, remove and open the envelope, open the 1st bag and board, and then open the 2nd bag and board just to get to the comic, so please just be patient when opening any of the comics I sell. I’m not trying to make them difficult to get to, but I’d prefer that they be over leaving things to chance. Either way, if you happen to not like my packaging or want the comic(s) packaged differently, I’m completely willing to take advice or special requests.

What I’m trying to get really is just that I’m kind of OCD about packaging and shipping (and about listing every detail I can think of) and that, because of this tendency, I can just about guarantee that the only way my comics won’t arrive as pictured would be because either USPS tried really hard to damage them, some out of the ordinary thing happened like a natural disaster, or something else went horribly wrong!

While my comics tend to never disappoint, if any or all of my measures and failsafes happen to not work or I miss something when grading a comic, just let me know and I will always try to make things as right and as fair as possible! :)
