Description:

Thor #1 Female Thor Jane Foster Sketch by J Scott Campbell CGC SS 9.8.

About the book:

This was done at NYCC in 2014 shortly after "female Thor" was introduced. I do not think we yet knew it was Jane Foster. I was one on the lucky few who were picked randomly to be allowed to pay for a sketch cover (about 50 or 100 people lined up and were given tickets and I was one of the 10 or 15 random ones picked). Fun memory. When talking to JSC he commented that he hadn't drawn female Thor yet. So.... This may be a slice of JSC history. Great item for any JSC or Thor collector.

Why I am selling it:

I'm only parting with this because of the current issues resulting from the current health related shut downs and related economic impact. I honestly figured things like this were something I would give to my kids, but now I have to figure out how to pay for other things today. The good news is that I am not yet in a position to have to "fire sale" everything, so my price is set based on several factors, including, but not limited to: the rarity of the book, the rarity of sketches by the artist, my costs in obtaining the book (money paid for the book, to the artist, CGC, etc.).  So if it sells, I have extra funds to pay my current bills without having to use other sources (like my pension). If it doesn't sell, that's OK, it just means I value it more than others and things that do sell will have to help.

Shipping related issues:

Shipped with USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box. I can usually get 3 graded books in a box safely, so combined shipping is available up to a point. After which it becomes a second box. Even two boxes for 4 books saves shipping over 1 box per book. I can, of course, do 1 box per book if you want to have more secure shipping.

International buyers: there is something that prevents easily combining shipping. I have a solution, confirmed through eBay support. It takes a little effort, as I have to cancel your orders, then relist them as one order (the title maybe being "Buyer Name Comic Lot" and listing all comics and pics of them for a Buy it Now price of the total of the bids for all included books). So, it requires some coordination and trust, but I have done it before successfully.

As to shipping times, please allow some flexibility. I'm trying to make as few trips out to the post office as possible during the stay at home order (I have a 72 year old mom and 80 year old father in law living with me). I also can't control how slow the postal service is once they get the package. I just ask for understanding during these uncertain times.

Conclusion:

Thanks for bidding. I wish the best for you, your family and loved ones. Be safe and well during these times.
