Tales of Suspense #39 from March, 1963.

Fair condition with supple off-white to white pages. Low grade, but complete & 100% unrestored. I bought this copy recently and was planning to have it CGC graded, but it wasn’t quite nice enough for me to justify doing so. I would expect it to come back a 1.0 (Fair), possibly slightly higher – but certainly not any lower than 1.0. Guaranteed to be completely free of any sort of restoration.

Defects keeping the book from grading higher: 1.5" piece torn off bottom left front cover. Tear from bottom spine of covers up 4.5" to middle spine. Tear also extends 3" from the missing piece bottom left front cover over to Iron Man’s first leg. Some light red crayon coloring to the "Suspense" title top front cover; some small pen scribbles to middle front cover. 2.25" split or tear to bottom spine of first interior wrap. Two 3?4" tears to left back cover edge; thin piece torn from top left back cover edge and bottom right back cover edge near bottom spine. Creasing to front cover.

Positives: Covers are still attached at the top staple. Centerfold is securely attached at both staples. Page quality is very nice, especially for the grade.

If you are looking for a solid, complete, unrestored copy of this key issue without spending $2,000++, then this is the book for you! One of the most affordable, complete/unrestored copies that you’ll ever find.
