This auction is for Tales of Suspense # 39 from 1963, a super key issue that features the origin and 1st appearance of Iron Man. This is a solid, lower condition copy. It does have some defects which include where some previous owner did some zig-zag marking with a black marker pen on the front cover and with a blue marker pen in the spine area below the top staple that bleeds through the cover and partially covers the Iron Man figure; there is some wrinkling on the lower right front cover near near Iron man's boot; there is a name written in ink along the top of the first page and along the top of the back cover; these is some minor chipping wear along the spine; and a small stain on the lower left back cover. The listing's photos are of the book being sold and accurately show the condition of this book. This would be a great reading copy or a place holder in a collection until a better condition copy could be obtained.
