'Iron Man is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer and editor Stan Lee, developed by scripter Larry Lieber, and designed by artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby. The character made his first appearance in Tales of Suspense #39 (cover dated March 1963). A wealthy American business magnate, playboy, and ingenious scientist, Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark suffers a severe chest injury during a kidnapping in which his captors attempt to force him to build a weapon of mass destruction. He instead creates a powered suit of armor to save his life and escape captivity.'

The comic that started it all. You are looking at the holy grail of all IRON MAN fans, including myself, MARVEL COMICS: Tales of Suspense #39.  Because of it's rarity this issue is very hard to find. I'm not an professional grader so PLEASE examine the pictures very close. I had this comic graded by a profession years ago and he gave it a FAIR/GOOD 1.5 graded. This is a great low grade reader copy for anybody IRON MAN collection. The pages are in good condition with typical discoloration, brownish/yellowish, for the age of this comic. Ask for some more pictures and I will be extremely careful and send you some. It has heavy spine wear but the cover is still attach, but just barely. I suggest not to open it to much and to get it graded so it can maintain it integrity. On the back cover on the top left  corner is missing a piece of the comic, PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES. Also, there's chip pieces throughout the top of the comic. It will ship it in a Mylites 2 protective sleeves bag, stronger than regular poly bags, and board. The comic will be shipped in a box with bubble wrap and packing peanuts. I pride myself and reputation on being prompt and honest "PLEASE NOTE": The condition of a comic is  a completely subjective opinion so I rather give a lower grade on a comic so that the buyer can feel more confident that they receive the best deal. It has been stored in a smoke and pet free environment. Please, MAGNIFY EACH PICTURE and look very closely at the comic and let me know if you have any questions. Please contact me and I will answer them for you.
