LOT of 5 *FANTASTIC FOUR* related comics (Marvel Comics, 1966, 1967, 1968). They are: Fantastic Four #46, #47; and Fantastic Four KING-SIZE SPECIALS #4, #5, and #6. Excellent lot to get a massive fix of Fantastic Four classic storytelling goodness in advance of the new F.F. movie coming out in 2015. Kirby art; characters include Black Bolt, golden-age Torch (origin retold), Hulk vs. Thing, Psycho-Man, Black Panther, Inhumans, Silver Surfer (1st solo story), Annihilus intro, Franklin Richards.
ABOUT THIS COMIC: These are 5 classic Marvel comics featuring FANTASTIC FOUR. This includes both regular Fantastic Four issues and the Fantastic Four King-Size Special issues. A "reboot" of the Fantastic Four movie franchise will be released in June 2015! The rundown is as follows:
- Fantastic Four #46 (Marvel Comics, 1966) (VG+) 1st Black Bolt -c (Kirby) and 1st full app. Value in GD/VG/FN is 15/30/45.
- Fantastic Four #47 (Marvel Comics, 1966) (VG) Value in GD/VG/FN is 13/26/39.
- Fantastic Four Special #4 (GD/VG) 1966. G.A. Torch x-over (1st S.A. appl) and origin retold; r/#25/26 (Hulk vs. Thing); Torch vs. Torch battles. Value in GD/VG/FN is 12/24/36.
- Fantastic Four Special #5 (GD/VG) 1967. New art; Intro. Psycho-Man; early Black Panther, Inhumans and Silver Surfer (1st solo story) app. Value in GD/VG/FN is 12/24/36.
- Fantastic Four Special #6 (VG/FN). 1968. Intro Annihilus; birth of Franklin Richards; new 48 pg. Movie length epic; last non-reprint annual. Value in GD/VG/FN is 9/18/27.
ITEM VALUE: The 2014 Overstreet guidebook values this grouping in GD, VG, and FN at $$$: ((( 61 / 122 / 183 ))).
CONDITION/GRADE: I judge these comics to be in SEE ABOVE GRADES and GENERAL INFO BELOW condition based on standard grading guidelines. Grading is an inexact science but I try to be strict and use a "buyer's mindset," inspecting comics carefully for flaws. Please look over the photos and see the details below:
CONDITION OVERVIEW: ORIGINAL (no restoration detected) and COMPLETE (all pages included, with no cut-outs or anything noticeably missing). Complete with all pages, no cut-outs, etc. These are all in decent condition with light wear that is consistent with the grades assigned. BE SURE TO LOOK OVER THE PHOTOS BELOW. • Shipping and packaging policy: I WILL GLADLY COMBINE SHIPPING ON MULTIPLE ITEMS TO REDUCE COSTS FOR WINNING BIDDERS. • Packaging policy: Items will be packaged carefully. Comics or magazines are usually put in plastic with a backing, then sandwiched between thick cardboard so the spine will not be bent in transit. I have never had any complaints about packaging and intend to keep it that way. Extra padding and protection is used for rare/expensive items.
• Condition policy: When you receive your item in the mail, I want you to be able to say, "This is exactly what I thought I would get based on the description," not "D'oh!" I aim to be a seller who can be trusted, and I try to give potential bidders all the relevant information about condition.
