This is an original owner un-restored copy of Journey into Mystery issue 102 (Thor vs The Tomorrow Man; First appearances of Hela and Sif). This is a Key Issue and is in Very Good +++ condition with only minor flaws.
For any serious collector of The Mighty Thor comics this is a must have book!
Cover. The only flaws to the cover of this book are a scuff in the upper right corner of the front cover where a very small amount of paper is missing, some very small marks along the top left of the back cover, and some extremely minor crazing. The cover and all pages are very well attached. Please see the scans.
Internal Pages. Internally, the pages are in very fine off-white condition without any browning or yellowing of the margins, and no markings, tears, rips, tape, coupons missing, writing, or stains or any other blemishes. The scan of the first page is representative of all internal pages. This book is in very nice condition!
This comic has been stored in a cool dark closet in a comic bag with an acid-free backing board in a commercial comic box for more than 40 years. Although I am not a professional grader, I think this book would rate between 6.5 and 7.0. Please see the scans and judge for yourself. An extremely nice addition to any serious comic collection of Marvel’s Mighty Thor and a good investment.
While many Silver Age comics that have not been stored well tend to yellow/brown and become brittle, this comic has retained virtually all of its elasticity. It is in extremely good shape given that it is 53+ years old!! This is a GREAT book!
