Electric Tiki's The Rocketeer Statue pays homage to author Dave Stevens and the Disney The Rocketeer movie in this one-of-a-kind collectible statue. The Rocketeer is seen blasting off over a brushed-metal logo base, leaving a cloud of art deco smoke that's evocative of the classic movie poster. The limited edition resin statue stands about 16-inches tall and is approximately 1:6 scale. Each piece is hand cast in high-quality polystone and hand painted to exacting standards. Packaged in a durable foam interior and a beautiful full-color package, each statue is individually numbered for authenticity. First appearing in 1982 as a character in a comics back-up feature, The Rocketeer later emerged in his own comic in 1988. Created by comics great Dave Stevens as an homage to classic pulp heroes of the 1930s and 1940s, the Rocketeer became an instant classic. The retro tale of stunt pilot Cliff Secord as told through Stevens' brilliant artwork caught the attention of Walt Disney Studios. In 1991, the Rocketeer found his way to the silver screen in the Disney The Rocketeer movie.
