This is a truly gorgeous piece of art that photos just don't do justice!
This pin box/statue was released by the Walt Disney Gallery celebrating the 15th anniversary of the movie's 1989 release of "The Little Mermaid". By Markrita (Mark & Rita Dornan) who made stunningly detailed statues with hidden pin boxes. The company unfortunately is not in business any-longer.
