CREEPYCreepy was an American horror-comics magazine launched by Warren Publishing in 1964. Like Mad, it was a black-and-white newsstand publication in a magazine format and thus did not require the approval or seal of the Comics Code Authority. The anthology magazine was initially published quarterly but later went bimonthly.
This publication and later companion Eerie, were inspired by EC Comics' line of horror and suspense publications, from story content and host storyteller Uncle Creepy (similar to EC's GhouLunatics) to Warren's use of many former EC artists.
The Haunt of Horror An American horror magazine published by Curtis Magazines – an imprint of Marvel Comics – that lasted five issues from May 1974 until January 1975.
It was co-edited by Roy Thomas (issues 1 and 2), Marv Wolfman (2 to 4), Tony Isabella (3 and 4), David Anthony Kraft (5), and Don McGregor (5).
EERIEEerie was an American magazine of horror comics introduced in 1966 by Warren Publishing. Like Mad, it was a black-and-white magazine intended for newsstand distribution and thus intentionally outside the control of the Comics Code Authority
Each issue's stories were introduced by the host character, Cousin Eerie. Its sister publications were Creepy and Vampirella.
Unlike its companion magazine, Creepy, which relied on stand alone anthology stories, Eerie would eventually become dominated by continuing series. This started with #39 (April 1972) with the series 'Dax the Warrior', which would run for 12 issues. By #48 (June 1973) most if not all of each issue contained continuing series. Initially the serials in Eerie were based on famous horror characters including Dracula, the Werewolf and the Mummy. Eventually they were replaced with original characters.
