Cover art by Don Heck, John Buscema, and John Romita Sr and story pencils by Don Heck. Story by Roy Thomas. The New Avengers team up with the Former Avengers for the first time. This situation becomes a recurring theme with Avengers Annuals/Specials for many years. Appearances by (Good guys) Hercules, Nick Fury, Giant Man, Scarlett Witch, Quicksilver, Wasp, Hawkeye, Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man. (Bad Guys) Mandarin, Power Man, Living Laser, Swordsman, Enchantress, The Executioner, and Ultimo. Binding is very good, and the spine is tight with only a small bit of damage to the top edge of the spine (3mm). A vertical crease about about 5mm in from the left edge (see scan). Some cover gloss still evident, pages are cream to off-white. Using Overstreet guidelines I would grade this comic as a solid Very Good (VG)(4.0) or a bit better.
The 43rd Edition of Overstreet (2013-14) lists this book in Grade 4.0 (Very Good) for $22.00.
