Avengers #9 from Oct. 1964
This vintage Marvel comic is a silver age key issue, as it features the first appearance (and partial origin) of the popular future Avenger, Wonder Man (Simon Williams), who joins a team which was made up of some of the most popular of Marvel's heroes, at that time, including: Iron-Man, Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man/Giant-Man, and Wasp and of course, Captain America.
The popularity and demand for this key issue has risen a bit in recent months, possibly due to some online rumors of the Wonder Man/Simon Williams character being cast, or referenced in some background images, (supposedly showing his name mentioned on a movie poster?), in some advance promotional material, as well as the Avengers continued popularity and the worldwide mainstream success of that franchise. So whether he appears soon, or later, it seems likely that he will eventually.. since, as of now, at least two more Avengers movies are already slated, and with Disney's recent acquisition of Marvel, they may well be coming out for generations to come!
This attractive copy has been graded by CGC at a 6.5 with off-white to white pages. It's colors are still bright and it presents really well for the given grade.
