This is a rare vintage original 1973 MARVEL COMICS EMPTY STORAGE BOX, and this 1970's comic book holder box features the art of FOOM and Marvelmania Era artist JIM STERANKO. I believe this was a mail order item from Jim Steranko, and comic fans stored their comic books inside this box. This listing is for the empty box only of course, and not the actual comic books.

In small print, the box says "Steranko" on it (underneath Spiderman), and it also shows the "Copyright 1973 Marvel Comics" information on it (beneath the Thing's foot).

The photos show the comic storage box in it's assembled state, and also in it's disassembled flat state. It will be shipped to you flat, and VERY well packaged for safe arrival.

This scarce 70's Marvel storage box shows a wraparound image of many Marvel Universe characters, like the Amazing Spider-man, the Silver Surfer, The Thing and the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four, Galactus, Dr Doom, Daredevil, the Inhumans (Medusa, Karnak, Lockjaw, and Black Bolt), the Angel from the Uncanny X-Men, Prince Namor the Sub-Mariner, Sgt Nick Fury Agent of Shield, and several members of the Mighty Avengers (the Mighty Thor, the Invincible Iron Man, Captain America, the Incredible Hulk, and the Vision).

SIZE: This official Jim Steranko Marvel comic book storage box measures about 10 inches by about 7 inches, when measuring the front of the box.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES (see photos): This super rare 70's Marvel Comics comic book slipcase storage box has been previously used, it's got names on the side of the box, some creases, some wear, discoloration, and other imperfections, so I'd grade this storage box as "good" condition only (using comic book grading terms). I am 100 percent certain that many other sellers and collectors would grade this storage box higher, but I prefer to grade more conservatively. Also, it's amazing that this box still exists at all after surviving the 1970's, 1980's, 1990's, the 2000's, and now.
